What is SAP? and its function?



Whether your company recently purchased SAP software or you just joined an 

organization using SAP software, you will undoubtedly find yourself asking the basic 


questions of "What is SAP and how do I use it?". The answer to "What is SAP" is the


same across organizations, however the "How do I use it?" will vary greatly by 


organization and functional area.  

Thousands of mid to large size companies worldwide use SAP software to run the majority of their day-to-day business transactions and processes. Called an enterprise system, or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution, it can literally run an entire enterprise. Companies can run SAP's transactions to support their Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Hire to Retire business processes, and much, much more!


SAP is also a German software compnay whose product allow businesses to track customer and business interactions. SAP is especially well-known for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and data management programs. SAP is an acronym for Systems, Applications and Products.


In other word which describe SAP in simple definition, designing a business development software for a company to boost up its economy status. SAP consultant are needed in many section and in total , there are about 25 modules for SAP. Most of the SAP consultant have more than one certificate of sap module they have completed to market themselves to a better company and of course, for a higher salary too. 



The advantages of being a sap consultant is:-

  • enterprise- wide visibility
  • job security
  • increase job scope
